My mother just got home from church and told me that she has an autistic boy in her church and it brought back so many memories. She said he was "suppose to be" in the Christmas play. He was all over the place. We wanted so badly for our child to be "normal". We tried just treating him normal and we were constantly disappointed and frustrated. It wasn't until we let him lead that we really began to see progress.

Hi Molly,
Congrats on the progress with your son! My sister is dating a man with two autistic children and it's nice to hear positive stories are out there. St. Louis is buried under an inch of ice at the moment, so Puerto Rico sounds wonderful! I'm totally jealous!
Take care,
Skip Bryan
